A computer with a couple 30db fans in it and an audible hard disk would make a reasonable amount of noise for most people..

Is 40 db loud for a PC?
30 – 40 Db is completely realistic for a ‘comfortable’ environment. I personaly like to hear my PC run/hum in the background.
